Centre for providing Free Food and Lodgings to Cancer stricken patients
This facility has been established for the benefit of outdoor patients from distant laces of the Island for outdoor treatment at the Cancer Institute .Maharagama. The centre currently has the capacity to provide food and lodgings to 28 male, 28 female patients and their chaperones and also to 20 child patients with a parent or guardian. For optimum convenience of those who seek shelter, the centre is equipped with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, fans, clean toilet and bathing facilities. A fully functional kitchen with staff, a dining room, a rest room with TV provide a homely environment. All meals are provided with the assistance of donors who provide cooked food, dry rations and/ or finances to enable cooking of food at the centre’s kitchen.
